Manta rays (2 styles)
The Marquesas Islands are the home to the incredible creature called the manta ray. In Marquesan culture, manta rays are considered protectors of people and they symbolize wisdom, trust, and graceful strength. The top of the manta ray was adorned with ancestral motifs for protection.
Carved in oceanic rosewood. The tail was made out of the cow horn.
