Pioro Tou (Made from “tou” tree)
This tribal and eye-catching pipe was hand-carved from an island tree "tou" (oceania walnut). It displays Marquesan cross symbol peka on the top that symbolizes the balance between elements and harmony. Sacred geometry.

Fun fact: one of the first Western practices adopted by Marquesans were cultivation and smoking of tobacco. Soon, pipes became valuable objects that, along with tobacco containers made from bamboo or small coconuts, were occasionally buried with their owners. In the past, men and women were not permitted to smoke together. In some circumstances, a woman could not smoke a pipe belonging to a man – while a man could smoke a pipe belonging to a woman. However, in these modern times, that’s not the case anymore. Everyone is free to share and enjoy a good pipe.
