Henua Enana Matake (Marquesan hammerhead)
Hammerhead sharks are undoubtedly amongst the most recognizable species of shark on the planet due to their unusual and distinctive head structure, which is flattened and extended into a "hammer" shape. The Marquesas Islands are the home to this magnificent, but an endangered type of shark.
Inspired by the hammerheads that can be often spotted around the bay of Hakaui, Tangy hand-carved this amazing shark in oceania rosewood and adorned his fins with the Marquesan ancestral symbols for protection.
Dimensions: 29cm x 14cm
