Tiki tribal arm
Beautiful Marquesan tribal arm carved in oceanic rosewood from Nuku Hiva Island.
Adorned with the well-known Marquesan motifs for protection, such as etua (divinity), the eyes of a Tiki (mata tiki), paepae on the back of the sculpture, etc.
Sign "Te Henua Enana" that was carved on the back of the tribal arm translates into "The Land of Man" in the northern Marquesan dialect (it's a local name for the Marquesas Islands.)
