Metau ivi (Hook made in bone)
The hook is one of the most recognizable symbols of Polynesia. It stands for energy, strength, prosperity, abundance, and good luck. Since the Polynesian livelihood is very much dependent on the ocean waters, the fish hook necklace signifies deep respect and love towards the oceans.
