Metau Tiki Etua (Tiki's hook)
The hook is one of the most recognizable symbols of whole Polynesia. It is a symbol of energy, strength, prosperity, abundance, and good luck. Since the Polynesian livelihood is very much dependent on the ocean waters, the fish hook necklace signifies deep respect and love towards the oceans.
Metau Tiki Etua pendant was hand-carved in oceanic rosewood and it displays Tiki with an ancestral Marquesan motif "etua" (divinity).
