Hei Kautai necklace
This elegant tribal artwork was hand-carved from oceania rosewood tree in the South Pacific island of Nuku Hiva. It displays a range of traditional Marquesan symbols that derive from the island's tattoo design – yet the symbols are different. According to local artists… “Only fools put body images on the carvings that are not meant for the body.”
Hei Kautai originally means "wave necklace" in Marquesan language as the shape of the necklace resembles the natural form of an ocean wave.
Hei Kautai comes with an elegant, adjustable black line.
