Marquesan Tiki Mask
This beautiful mask was carved in oceanic rosewood which is the local wood from the island of Nuku Hiva. The mask displays the face of a Tiki.
Tiki in the Marquesan culture represents “etua” (god) deified ancestors whose supernatural powers sustain and protect the community.
