Henua Enana Matake (Hammerhead shark)
Hammerhead sharks are undoubtedly amongst the most recognizable species of shark on the planet due to their unusual and distinctive head structure, which is flattened and extended into a "hammer" shape. The Marquesas Islands are the home to this magnificent, but an endangered type of shark.
Inspired by the hammerheads that can be often spotted around our island, Tangy hand-carved this amazing shark in oceanic rosewood and adorned its fins with the Marquesan ancestral symbols for protection.
