Tiki Mask (Tiki with a child)
This beautiful Tiki mask was carved in oceanic rosewood which is the local wood from Nuku Hiva Island. The mask displays Tiki holding a child.
Tiki in the Marquesan culture represents “etua” (god) deified ancestors whose supernatural powers sustain and protect the community.
